ITWAN has celebrated 20 years of the ITF Action Week under the theme ‘Transport Workers Fighting Back – Organising Globally’ with various programmes all over Nepal. The ITWAN Bagmati zonal committee organised an interaction programme regarding amendment of the Transport Act and traffic violence against transport workers on 3 October in Kathmandu old bus park. The ITWAN Gandaki zonal committee organised activities in Pokhara bus park regarding current issues of transport workers also on 3 October. On 5 October, in Birtamod, the ITWAN Jhapa Mechi zonal committee organised activities on how to prevent road accidents. On 6 October, the ITWAN Koshi zonal committee organised interaction and training programme in Itahari. During the programme, the union central committee presented a paper on road accidents with ideas on how to minimise them. On the same day in Butwal, the Lumbuni zonal committee organised an exhibition and distributed leaflets to transport workers.
